The Jornal Brasileiro de Patologia e Medicina Laboratorial
(ISSN 1676-2444), formerly the Jornal Brasileiro de Patologia.
The JBPML is indexed in LILACS, Periódica, and Chemical Abstracts, and integrates SciELO database. Its editorial policy is to promote the communication of scientific works related to the Laboratory Medicine field (Clinical Pathology) that have technical quality approved by qualified peer reviewers, spreading medical knowledge. The manuscripts submitted to the JBPML are sent to one or more renowned peer reviewers with specific knowledge to evaluate the subject addressed in the article. After the reviewer’s decision, the editor of the JBPML contacts the authors, communicating the eventual rejection, or the steps to be followed for the definitive publication of the work.
